Decorative painting goes very well with wood, I have used acrylic paints on plyboard  approximately 27cms by 15cms .I love painting flowers and made yellow roses on the dark background.

Clay flowers are very durable, lightweight and simply gorgeous. This acrylic photo frame has been decorated with air dry clay rose buds and leaves which were made sometime back.
