I painted this long back during summer afternoons with the georgette sari spread on the dining table! It seemed like miles and miles of painting similar flowers and leaves as it was a border pattern. It was a lengthy, exhaustive job no doubt but totally worth it.

It is quite popular all over the world and has recently been introduced in India .Finally I decided to take the plunge into the world of SospesoTrasparente , all material is imported ,hence expensive and cannot be substituted with local ones.
The beautiful flowers are durable and can be used to decorate cards,envelopes, gift boxes, photo frames etc.

Clay Signboard-Joy

Happy New Year to all my friends and well wishers ! Like all crafters I want to try out fresh ideas  to try out this year , and my New Year resolution is to create useful items with the craft items I already have. Lamasa Flowers

Lamasa is flexible dough made at home using cornflour, glue and some other ingredients nearly like cold porcelain. The end result is the same, we can make beautiful flower using the dough prepared at home with success.
I have never made flowers using the traditional lamasa recipe as such but make cold porcelain at home in my kitchen , but many say that both clay doughs give great results and contain the same basic ingredients.

Handpainted saris can be customised according to one's choice.
