Bottle art

 Bottles, once used are often discarded and forgotten.But they can be successfully turned into beautiful pieces of art with a few strokes of paint. 

Empty and clean the bottle, remove label by soaking overnight in water to remove the glue. Dry and paint with gesso. 

Now the bottle is ready for some nifty painting. Boho painting is very trendy relatively easy and eye-catching. Pick your color scheme and paint the background with acrylics and wait for the next stage. 

Leafy designs, mountains etc can be used to enhance the bottle. Look up the internet to get some ideas, there are a lot of tutorials to learn and create some handmade, hand painted bottle art.

Clay Fairy Houses

Clay fairy houses are very popular and are a favorite form of bottle art. I have tried to create my own fairy house using different type of air dry clay and glass bottles.
It was a daunting task indeed, one had to be careful to keep the lid free to rotate and unscrew the lid. It can be used as a collectible.I have put LED candles inside and the lid can be unscrewed to switch on/off the flame less candle.There are windows on the other sides and tiny miniature flowers growing around it.
